The type of hunts that guarantee a shot opportunity are what is being referred to these days as "guaranteed opportunity hunts" or AKA "canned hunts". These hunts basically allow so called hunters to shoot an animal in a trap or else shoot a tamed animal and call it hunting.  We do not offer or condone such so called hunts.  In fact, my goal when I built this place was to break some of the preconceived notions that people seem to have about high fenced hunts. I wanted to create a very challenging real-life bow hunting experience, which means all the usual variables apply. Some of these include weather, moon phase, food supply and last but certainly, not least, the hunters’ own skills, hunting ability, and woodsman ship. I wanted to not only share the thrill of hunting wild free-range animals under as close as possible to fair chase conditions but also create a very fun and enjoyable deer camp experience. I believe we have successfully created that environment here.

Just as our name implies, our hunts are archery only.

We do allow crossbows. We do not offer firearm hunts. 

For hogs and exotic animals Non resident hunters need the TEXAS SPECIAL HUNT runs $48.00 and can be purchased online at the Texas Parks and Wildlife website. Resident hunters will simply need the Texas general hunting license.

Solo hunters are welcome as long as they have no issues with sharing a bunk room with other solo hunters or covering two spots to have a bunk room to themselves. For example, a solo hunter who wants to bring a non hunting guest such as a wife or daughter and does not want to bunk with other hunters may want to go ahead and cover two spots thereby securing private sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities. Beyond that, non hunting guests are welcome at 100.00 per guest per night.

Groups of 2 or more hunting guests can expect to have a private bunkroom and bathroom to themselves. Groups of 5 or more hunting guests can expect to have both private bunkrooms and the entire ranch to themselves. Solo hunters are welcome as long as they have no issues with sharing a bunk room with other solo hunters or covering two spots to have a bunk room to themselves.

The hunt package described on the hunts page is our base hunting package, which gets you on the ranch and does include the specified bag limit. Once you have purchased a base hunting package and you are here on your hunt, you may encounter other species such the following.

These species all have stand-alone trophy fees associated with them as shown above and are in no way connected to the base hunt price.  

Yes. There will be at least one guide in camp available at all times to assist with your stand selection, game recovery, and more. Skinning and basic quartering of your kill is also available for 75.00 per animal. Larger species 250 plus pound animals 150.00 per animal.
